It was born at the beginning of last century as a neighbourhood fruit orchard, and with the rise of tourism it converted into a place for refreshment and sustenance for the visitors of the Colosseum. Maintaining its own mission, it was slowly transformed into a bar, becoming in the afterwar and mainly in the 50s and 60s, a place of reference throughout Rome for exotic and valuable fruits. Fruits which were rare and difficult to find at the time. And it became like this a bar that specialized in milkshakes, smoothies, fruit juices and ice creams. In this way it reached its magnificence and it turned out to be a famous place for the Roman people.
Even though the management changed, the restaurant has always kept its identity that has distinguished it for more than 50 years. Making fruit and vegetables its main products and trying to have the most natural and healthy food possible.
